Love Story..

Last Night I took the kids to see the Easter Musical at Hillcrest. I have been saved since I was 9 years old and the story of Christ's Love still brings me to humility. I loved watching the play with Sydney on my lap asking a million questions and holding me tight during the hard scenes. Although I may have squeezed her a little tighter too as I fought back the tears.

Christ keeps revealing to me how much he loves me, even in my failures.
We have been reading "The Jesus Storybook Bible" with the kids at night and It is an AMAZING LOVE STORY of Christ coming to rescue us. I highly recommend it for family devotion time!

Focused On Christ

This past week at church the message was about knowing why we do what we do.. And being confident in doing it and sincere about it..

I struggle alot with this..

I am constantly questioning ..

~ Am I too hard on my kids..
~ Should I homeschool them..
~ Why can't I keep my house clean..
~ Am I loving my husband enough..
~ Am I joyful..
~ What do people think of me and how I raise my kids..
My list could go on and on...

I feel like I am questioning everything in my life and so it makes it hard to do anything well..

I feel like CHRIST is saying .. "KEEP your FOCUS on ME"

I can not be confident in anything but HIM.. He has NEVER failed me..

When I am questioning everything, it takes my focus off HIM and places it on me and what I am trying to do

I pray that as these questions pop in my head .. I would seek Christ for TRUTH and who I am in HIM!

I need to be sincere and confident in being his wife and the mother of our children.. I need to be an example to my family of how to keep my focus on CHRIST

“If God is for us, who can ever be against us? "
                                                       (Romans 8:31, NLT)

"Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth."               Colossians 3:2

Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires." Romans 8:5

Fall!

We are enjoying fall in Ohio! From hot chocolate, s'mores, campfires, hoodies, and the cool crisp air!

We took the kids horse back riding with my Aunt Nadia and Uncle Jason! The kids had so much fun and they can't wait to go back! Morgan is a natural with horses!

The kids piled up the leaves in the yard and had a jumping party!

Sydney is 6!!

Sydney and I spent the morning together for her birthday! I took her to get a cupcake at the The Frost cupcake bar and then to get her nails painted! She was so excited to pick out her favorite color and sit in the pedicure chair!

After getting her nails done we went to Kmart for some Little Caesar's and to shop!
Syd picked out a new pair of shoes! She took this pic of them! They are very colorful like she is! :)

Then we headed home to get ready for her party! Which we baked a homemade cake and I let he decorate it! She had a wonderful day!

Sydney took all of her birthday money and bought her very first AMERICAN GIRL DOLL with pierced ears ( it is the one you get to design yourself!!) She is so excited!

For me her birthday is so much more than just a birthday... It is a day full of memories of prayers answered and seeing God's hand move in our life!

Relaxing!

Jesse went on a Salmon fishing trip for a few days so the kids and I packed up and went to my Grandma's cabin on the lake! It was sooooo relaxing! It rained a little but we were ok with that,  the kids just played cards, snacked and even played in the rain some!

The kids swimming at the beach at Rocky Fork Lake. I told the kids we were going swimming at the beach, when we pulled in the parking lot Grady was VERY disappointed. He said "MOM,  this is not the beach!" We have been spoiled by the real beach! :)

If you can see the little boat in the picture, that is my dad and a friend fishing! They came over to the beach to wave at the kids swimming then went back to catching fish!

Beautiful day at the Lake!

Henry eating cheese puffs while we watched the kids swim!

I took the kids for a walk one evening and 2 puppies found us! My kids were in heaven  playing with those puppies :)

This is the view from the dinning room/ kitchen. Her cabin is right across the street from the lake! We love it there!

Nothing like waking up at the cabin and sitting on the porch in our jammies!

I took the kids out to the Amish bakery and got fresh bread, doughnuts, and pretzels !!
YUMMY!
